A drama about a gay couple with clear religious differences, Next Fall alternates between past and present to trace the five-year evolution of Luke's (fundamental Christian) and Adam's (agnostic) relationship. When an accident places Luke in a coma, his family and friends meet in the hospital waiting room as the play flashes back to significant events of his life with Adam. Taking a close look at faith, commitment, and love, the play asks us to examine what it means to "believe" and what it might cost us not to.
